In an increasingly complex and fast-paced world, the role of education extends beyond academic achievement. Schools are not just places for acquiring knowledge but are crucial in shaping the character and values of young minds.
By fostering social harmony, enhancing decision-making skills, and preparing students for future challenges, value education helps create well-rounded individuals who are ready to contribute positively to society. For the same, Apeejay School, Nerul hosted a Value Education Programme for the classes IV and V. The event took place within the school premises on June 26, 2024, with the motive of celebrating the Dignity of Labour.

The focus was to instill respect for all forms of work among students and honour every individual’s contribution, regardless of their role.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the hosts, who emphasised the importance of the dignity of labor. It began with a captivating invocation dance performed by the talented students of Class V, setting an inspiring tone for the proceedings. Following this, a student of class V-B (Shlok Kondilya) delivered an insightful speech that resonated with the audience, highlighting the value and honour in every type of work.

Adding to the celebratory atmosphere, the students of class V sang a melodious song that uplifted the spirits of all present. The programme also featured a heartfelt speech in Marathi by another student of Class V-B (Aarav Karad). He emphasised cultural pride and the significance of respecting all professions. This series of performances and speeches collectively celebrated the dignity of labor and underscored the message that every contribution, no matter how small, is valuable and worthy of respect.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of gifts to the ancillary staff, recognising their hard work and dedication. Mr Pawal and Mr Ajay shared their thoughts and wisdom, offering valuable insights to the audience. Adding to the occasion, Mr Rajaram delivered a mesmerising performance that captivated everyone.

The Principal of the school, Mr P Subash, addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of the dignity of labour and the value of every individual’s contribution. As a gesture of gratitude, students from classes IV and V presented the staff with cards, chocolates, and flowers, expressing their heartfelt appreciation.
The hosts expressed their gratitude to everyone for their participation and encouraged the ongoing celebration of the dignity of labor in daily life. The program was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on both students and staff.
