Parenting sessions at school bridge the gap between home and classroom, fostering a collaborative environment for a child’s holistic growth. These sessions empower parents with modern insights, nurturing emotional intelligence, discipline, and learning strategies. By aligning parenting styles with educational goals, schools create a cohesive support system, ensuring children thrive both academically and personally.

Hence, Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar hosted an enlightening and interactive Parenting Session, led by the renowned Dr Himanshu Sareen from PIIMS College and Hospital, Jalandhar. Accompanying him were his exceptional team members from PIMS Hospital – Mr Brijesh, Mr Garvit, and Mr Karan.

This session, aligned with the vision of Dr Stya Paul, Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya Group & Apeejay Education and Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education reaffirmed the school’s commitment to holistic education. By fostering collaboration between parents and educators, the programme aimed to nurture compassionate and well-rounded individuals.

The session was held to empower parents and focused on fostering positive parenting techniques and strengthening the parent-child bond. Dr Sareen shared his extensive expertise, addressing the joys and challenges of modern parenting. With a compassionate approach, he offered practical tools and strategies to enhance emotional well-being and healthy development in children. 

Key topics discussed included understanding child behaviour, building effective communication, discipline with empathy, and parenting styles. Dr Sareen encouraged an open dialogue, inviting parents to share experiences, ask questions, and receive personalised guidance on common parenting challenges.

Parents praised the session for its depth and relevance, leaving them with greater confidence and actionable insights to create nurturing and supportive environments for their children. The valuable advice shared by Dr Sareen is set to make a lasting impact on their parenting journeys.

The event concluded with a token of gratitude presented to the guests by Mrs Priyanka Grover, Officiating Principal, and Ms. Namrata Sharma, Headmistress. 

Ms Sharma also thanked Dr Sareen and his team for their invaluable time and expertise. The session was an undeniable success, leaving parents informed, empowered, and inspired to embrace positive parenting practices.
