When this parent started exploring schools, the first preference was proximity. They wanted a school that was close to home so that daily travel would not be stressful for their child. Apeejay School, Tanda Road, fits that requirement well. “Beyond location, I was very particular about the quality of education, the kind of environment the school offers, the teaching staff, management, and how students perform academically and otherwise. I also looked at extracurricular opportunities and how students progress after they graduate,” Gayatri Juneja, whose son, Swastik, is in Class V here, said.
In a parent experience conversation, the mother shares how her son has grown here.
How does the school partner with parents for a child’s overall development?
I would say the school maintains a steady and structured communication system. Teachers regularly share updates through WhatsApp regarding classwork, homework, worksheets, and activities. The school also uses a digital platform where learning modules and academic updates are uploaded.
How has Swastik grown during his time at the school?
My son has become extremely confident and has no stage fright at all. This confidence has come entirely from the encouragement he has received at school. Teachers motivate children to participate in various activities, whether it is dance, poem recitation, or cultural events.
Are there any activities he particularly enjoys?
He enjoys creative activities more than sports. He actively participates in dance and recitation competitions and looks forward to such events. These activities have helped him express himself better and develop confidence.
Have you noticed any academic or learning-related improvement?
His vocabulary has improved significantly over the years. He has developed a habit of reading books, which I feel will benefit him greatly in the future. His overall communication skills are much better now.
Is there something that stands out most about Swastik’s development?
If I compare him with children of the same age in my extended family who study in other schools, I feel Swastik is more balanced in his behaviour. He is calm, respectful, humble, honest, and considerate towards others. I truly believe these values are shaped by the school environment and the teachers, who play a very important role in a child’s upbringing.
