‘This school follows a conventional education system’

The mother feels that though the tension around Board exams is unavoidable, the teachers at this school keep that at bay by maintaining a positive environment.

Excerpts from the interview.  

 How did you select Apeejay as an admission choice?

Apeejay was actually always the first choice for my son. If you ask me, I will give this school a 10/10. We have known Apeejay’s legacy for a few decades. They offer the perfect mix of studies and cultural structure. Even my friends gave me the best feedback about this school, hence on the basis of this we got our son admitted into Apeejay.

 Is any pressure building up for the upcoming boards?

My son is 100 per cent relaxed and doing well in his studies. And for that, the credit goes to the teachers who have supported him wholeheartedly. They have been extremely helpful towards my son and assist him in understanding his core weak areas. Together they work on my son’s strengths and weaknesses.

 Are any special techniques used by the teachers at school?

The best part is teachers use a subjective approach in their teaching methodology. They share their personal experiences so that the students can relate better to the challenges and difficulties that might arise and how to work on them. Apart from that, they follow the fixed strategy laid out by the CBSE board like sharing the schedule, following a subject-wise set plan, sharing worksheets, and taking tests.

 Are the teachers easy to approach?

Absolutely! There are regular PTMs organised to discuss my son’s progress and identify the problem areas so that they can be corrected. The teachers always share candid feedback with us. They keep two-way communication open on every medium at any time of the day.

 What about the balance between academics and extracurricular activities?

The school has maintained the balance really well. Every student should not be burdened with studies all the time. Cultural activities are also needed for one’s personality development. My son specifically enjoys all types of sports activities organized at the school.

Has Apeejay fulfilled your expectations as an ideal school?

Definitely, this school has been the priority for my son from the start. I thoroughly admire the teachers and their outlook toward a student’s holistic development. Mainly in the senior school, the teachers are just outstanding, they make sure that whatever efforts my son is making, they are fulfilled.
