Schools play a crucial role in the holistic development of Class VIII students by balancing academic learning with co-curricular activities. “At this school, students are encouraged to think critically, collaborate with peers, and explore their interests through projects, debates, and creative arts. Physical education and sports promote fitness and teamwork, while value-based lessons help shape character and ethics,” shares Nidhi Sharma, whose son Yadunandan studies in Class VIII at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi.
Read on to know how teachers guide students through emotional and social challenges, helping them build confidence and resilience here.
Which factors influenced you to choose Apeejay School, Rama Mandi?
My first preference was Apeejay School because of the core values instilled by Dr Stya Paulji. The school offers a structured and nurturing environment where children engage with their peers, positively influencing their social and emotional development and laying a strong foundation for overall growth and character building.
Which best practices do teachers use here?
Teachers follow best practices by thoughtfully planning assignments and assessments tailored for both high and low achievers. They ensure individual attention is given to each student, addressing their unique learning needs. This approach fosters inclusivity, supports academic growth, and helps every child reach their full potential in a supportive environment.
How is the school safety-wise?
Nobody can enter and meet the child on the school premises without an ID card. Additionally, schools often implement safety rules and conduct drills to ensure everyone knows how to respond in case of crisis. In school, there is a very good surveillance system also.

Which extracurricular activities does your child enjoy?
My child thoroughly enjoys participating in various extracurricular activities at school, especially in compering, declamation, and solo Western singing. In sports, he has a keen interest in chess and football. These activities not only bring him joy but also help in building his confidence, communication skills, and team spirit.
Are you happy with your child’s progress so far?
Yes, I am completely happy with my child’s academic progress. At Apeejay School, teachers closely observe and interact with students daily, paying attention to their behaviour, study habits, and social skills. This consistent guidance has played a vital role in supporting my child’s overall development.
