Education can often be an expensive expenditure, after all a child’s secure future is dependent on a good education. While every parent works hard to provide the best of pedagogy, a school’s role in the same cannot be undermined. Meet Rahul Jain, father of Maulik Jain and Ritisha Jain, students of class XI and VII respectively at Apeejay Noida who shares that education at the school is reasonably priced. “What I like about this school is that there is no compromise on the quality of teaching here,” he adds.

 Excerpts from an interview.

How and why did you select Apeejay?

First, it was through word of mouth and a friend’s recommendation. Second, we did apply to several schools including Apeejay, and ultimately Apeejay looked better to us for admission in terms of balance between education curriculum and extra activities, and also monetarily, we could afford a better education for both our kids.

What are your feelings regarding academics and extracurricular activities?

The school does a decent job of balancing both education and other activities. Both my children do participate in extracurricular activities organised at school. Speaking of academics, classes are quite interactive and we are happy with the way everything is executed at the school.

Are the teachers easy to approach?

Yes, there are PTMs held regularly. We have never faced an issue where we cannot reach the class teacher or other teachers to discuss our child’s progress or if parents want to speak about something. Feedback that is shared mutually is very helpful for my children.

Any pressure building up in your son for the upcoming boards?

As parents, we were very anxious regarding our son’s performance on the Board exams. Later, we had a lengthy conversation with his teachers. They were extremely supportive regarding his performance and how to work on the weak areas. Even regarding the attendance, there is slight relaxation given to my son.

How has Apeejay impacted your children?

I feel both my kids are at par when compared to other children in our friend circle and our residential society. So from that perspective, the school has done a good job in grooming both my kids well. My children have imbibed good qualities at school like time management, humility, and saving money. They have learnt to value time and money.

How often do you interact with your children about school?

We do interact with our children on a daily basis about what’s going on at school. We attend most of the PTMs at school to keep ourselves informed about the development of our kids. In fact, we have become good friends with other parents whose kids are also studying in the same class as our children. So our social circle has expanded due to Apeejay.

Did Apeejay rise up to your expectations as an ideal school?

We are totally satisfied. The overall outcome that we expected for our children has been fulfilled. The school’s job is to provide a conducive environment that will help hone my kids, which has been met here. The school has provided a positive direction for my children.
