Recently, Apeejay International School, Greater Noida celebrated Grandparents’ Day. Joyous and full of grandeur, the event, Vardaan, highlighted the quality of timelessness in contributions by grandparents for families and societies alike. It was a day full of fun and games for the grandparents and their grandchildren in the multi-activity session. From fun games like Balloon Race and Pyramid Making, they were all focused on filling the gap between the years, giving love along with mutual respect in abundance.

Cultural Treats and Performances

Post-refreshments, the students gathered for a cultural extravaganza. Deep prajwalan resonated the opening ceremony along with shlok recitation. The welcome dance by the nursery and kindergarten students stole everyone’s heart. This was followed by a soul-touching song by class II students, eloquently expressing their deep love and gratitude towards their grandparents. The instrumental music performance weaved a spell with its melody all over the audience.

Speaking about the event, the grandparent of Iriska a student in class I, said that they were glad to see the performance of their granddaughter; it was such a wonderful performance. “The entire function was amazing. The theme of the function – Vardaan – was apt. We thank the Apeejay family, staff and Principal ma’am for making the day memorable for us,” the grandparent shared.

Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure who keep the family together. The day was a wonderful experience thanks to the teachers and the efforts of the Principal,” Sandhya said.

It was very thoughtful of the school to have organised the Grandparents’ Day. The event was well organised with games, presentations and cultural programmes by kids. The credit goes to the teachers, who must have toiled hard to train and motivate the children to give their best. I congratulate the Principal and the school for an excellent feel-good event,” he said
