Extracurricular activities contribute to the overall development of students. While academic subjects enhance intellectual growth, extracurricular activities foster physical, emotional, and social development. “The extracurricular activities here offer a platform for students to interact, collaborate, and build friendships. These social interactions enhance communication skills, empathy, and cultural awareness, helping students to better understand and appreciate diversity,” shares Dr Shelly Goel whose daughter Chinar studies in class VIII at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg.

Why did you select Apeejay for your child?
There are two important reasons for this – first and foremost, this school holds a standardised reputation in terms of education in Jalandhar and secondly, it is in close proximity to my house.
How has Chinar’s journey been at school so far?
I am 100 percent satisfied with her journey so far since Nursery. She has become more expressive and outspoken. I have seen her growth so far which is up to my expectations.
How are the teachers here?
It’s always a pleasant experience to meet the staff members here. My daughter is always happy to go to school and I feel it’s a second home for her. I have hardly seen Chinar missing classes or being absent from school.
What kind of extracurricular activities does your child enjoy here?
Chinar excitedly participates in dance classes at school. She is learning classical dance right now and is mostly performing at all cultural events. She also plays lawn tennis under a coach.
Define your parenting mantra.
I believe in giving quality time to my children. Our conversations mostly revolve around career and aspirations. I don’t pressurise my kids for any career choice and Chinar right now is too young, so we don’t push her much.
How is the school infrastructure and facilities here?
It’s a state-of-the-art structure which is really well maintained. Moreover, the school library stocks all the important and informative books and the school also boasts of huge playgrounds where various sports are held.
