In a heartwarming conversation, Zaara Khan’s mother Ms Priyanka opens up about her daughter’s incredible journey of growth at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK II, Delhi. From being a shy child born during the pandemic to excelling in academics and social interactions, Zara’s transformation is a testament to the school’s nurturing environment and the dedication of its teachers.
Could you share how your daughter has progressed since joining here?
Zaara’s progress has been phenomenal. When we enrolled her, she was shy and reserved, a pandemic-born child. Now, she’s brimming with confidence, even greeting everyone, from teachers to the security staff, with a cheerful “bye-bye” and “see you tomorrow.” She eagerly looks forward to school every day and is often the last to leave.
How has the school supported her academic growth?
The academic foundation here is truly commendable. Zaara, a pre-nursery student, is already writing patterns and is familiar with phonics — skills that many nursery kids are just beginning to learn. The teachers have guided her beautifully, ensuring she holds pencils and crayons correctly and colours within shapes. Her progress is beyond my expectations.
What changes have you noticed in her social and physical activities?
Zaara has become so active and outgoing. She loves participating in sports, especially the Friday sessions with outdoor play or lawn tennis. It’s improved her coordination and eating habits — she now enjoys veggies! Her enthusiasm for activities and mingling with peers has been incredible.

How would you describe the role of the teachers in shaping her journey?
The teachers are more than second mothers; they are her primary caregivers at school. Their patience, love, and dedication are unmatched. Zaara often talks about her teachers with so much affection. Once, she even woke up crying, saying she missed her teacher. That speaks volumes about the bond they share.
What stands out the most about Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld?
The warmth and effort of the staff. From celebrating festivals to organising creative and interactive learning activities, they take every initiative to make learning enjoyable. Managing so many young kids is no small feat, yet they do it with grace and care. For Zaara, this school truly feels like her second home.
