This Jalandhar Institute hosts knowledge-packed quiz competition

The Marketing Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar rcently organised an engaging and intellectually stimulating Quiz Competition that brought together enthusiastic MBA students eager to test their knowledge, awareness, and analytical skills in a competitive yet enjoyable environment.

The quiz competition was designed to encourage students to stay informed about current developments across multiple domains. It comprised several exciting rounds covering topics such as General Awareness, Latest Trends, Information Technology, and Sports, offering participants a comprehensive and well-rounded challenge. The diverse nature of the quiz ensured that students could showcase their knowledge across various subjects while enhancing their learning experience.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the MBA programme, who displayed remarkable energy and competitive spirit throughout the competition. Before reaching the final rounds, participants were required to clear a preliminary screening round, which helped shortlist the most knowledgeable teams for the main quiz contest. The format added an extra layer of excitement and ensured that only the most prepared teams advanced to the final stage.

Addressing the students during the event, Rajesh Bagga, Director of the institute, emphasised the importance of such academic competitions in the holistic development of students. He remarked that quizzes play a crucial role in enhancing knowledge, improving critical thinking abilities, and keeping individuals updated with the rapidly evolving world. According to him, activities like quiz competitions also help students sharpen their decision-making skills and develop the ability to think quickly under pressure—qualities that are essential for success in both academic and professional life.

The competition concluded with the declaration of the winning teams after several rounds of challenging questions. The winning team comprised Anamika Sharma, Mehak Khanna, and Waris Khurana, students of MBA II, who demonstrated exceptional knowledge and teamwork during the competition. The runner-up team included Purnima Madaam, Vridhi, and Harshpreet Baswan, also from MBA II, who gave a tough competition and performed commendably throughout the quiz.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga congratulated the winners and applauded all participants for their enthusiasm and competitive spirit. He encouraged students to actively participate in similar academic and co-curricular activities organised by the institute’s student clubs, as such initiatives provide valuable learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

He also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the coordinators of the Marketing Club, Mr. Rahul Handa and Ms. Amarjit Kaur, for successfully organising the event. Their efforts ensured that the competition was conducted smoothly and created an engaging platform for students to test their knowledge and enhance their intellectual abilities.

The quiz competition proved to be both educational and entertaining, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to promoting interactive learning experiences that complement academic education while nurturing curiosity, awareness, and teamwork among students.
