Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, witnessed an explosion of colour, creativity, and entrepreneurial energy as it hosted Spring Fiesta 2026 with great enthusiasm on campus. The much-awaited annual fest transformed the college premises into a vibrant hub of artistic expression, innovation, and student-led enterprise, offering a dynamic platform for students to display their multifaceted talents.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Mukilan R, IAS, ADC (Development and City Programming), Jalandhar. The fiesta commenced on an uplifting note with the ceremonial release of balloons, symbolising hope, aspiration, and new beginnings. Adding a spiritual aura to the inauguration, students from the Department of Performing Arts presented a graceful Ganesh Vandana, captivating the audience with their expressive choreography and devotional fervour.

Welcoming the distinguished guest and attendees, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra reflected on the institution’s glorious journey, attributing its continued success to the inspiration of Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Pal Ji, the visionary leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and the insightful guidance of Dr. Neha Berlia, Co-owner and Director, Family Business Board, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and Lead Education Vertical Office Bearer, Apeejay Education. She expressed confidence that the college would continue to set new standards of excellence in academics, culture, and innovation.

While honouring Shri Mukilan R, IAS, Dr. Dhingra appreciated his significant contributions to the city’s development and planning. She noted that his dedication and forward-thinking approach serve as a source of inspiration for students, encouraging them to contribute actively towards making Jalandhar cleaner, greener, and more beautiful. Speaking about the fiesta, she described it as a meaningful initiative that nurtures creativity and entrepreneurial spirit while strengthening the college’s tradition of organising quality academic and cultural engagements.

In his address, Shri Mukilan R, IAS commended the college for its proactive collaboration with the district administration in organising cultural and social initiatives. He remarked that although artificial intelligence is gradually entering creative fields, it is vital to use it responsibly to preserve originality and human imagination. He further emphasised that real societal transformation begins with self-growth and shared that Apeejay students stand apart due to their confidence, clarity of expression, and dynamic personalities.
Spring Fiesta 2026 featured an array of student-managed entrepreneurial stalls, offering fashionable apparel, nail art, jewellery, tarot card reading, and numerology services. Food stalls and exciting rides added to the festive ambience, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and visitors alike. The event also hosted singing and dance competitions, Tambola, and various recreational activities that ensured lively engagement throughout the day. A lucky draw added an element of excitement, and winners of competitions were felicitated with prizes and certificates.

The programme was smoothly anchored by Ms. Anuradha, Ms. Chetna, and Mr. Mohit, whose seamless coordination contributed significantly to the success of the event. Appreciating the collective efforts, Dr. Neerja Dhingra lauded the Overall In-charges—Dr. Manisha Kaushal and Ms. Rajni Kumar—along with Organising Committee members Dr. Monika Anand, Dr. Keval Krishan, Dr. Payal Arora, and Dr. Vishwabandhu, for their unwavering dedication in making Spring Fiesta 2026 a grand success.
