This institute immerses in Phoolon ki Holi celebration

The campus of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) came alive with vibrant colours, floral fragrances, and festive enthusiasm as students, faculty members, and staff gathered to celebrate Phoolon ki Holi, an eco-friendly and culturally rich version of the traditional festival of colours. The unique celebration highlighted the institute’s commitment to sustainability while embracing the joy and spirit of Holi.

Instead of using synthetic colours, the participants marked the occasion with showers of fresh flower petals, including roses, marigolds, and other colourful blossoms. As petals filled the air, the campus transformed into a lively and picturesque setting, symbolising harmony, renewal, and positivity. The fragrant petals not only added to the visual charm of the celebration but also reflected a conscious effort to promote environmentally responsible practices.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different batches, along with faculty members and administrative staff. Laughter, music, and cheerful greetings created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making the celebration both lively and memorable. Students enjoyed the opportunity to engage with their peers and teachers in a relaxed environment, strengthening the sense of community within the institute.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sajal Mukherjee shared, “Phoolon ki Holi reflects the ethos of AIMC—celebrating our rich cultural heritage while being mindful of the environment. Such celebrations foster unity, joy and a sense of belonging within our campus.”

The event not only highlighted the festive spirit associated with Holi but also conveyed a deeper message about sustainability and mindful celebration. By choosing flower petals instead of chemical colours, the institute encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly alternatives that protect both the environment and personal well-being.

Beyond the colourful celebration, the event also served as an opportunity for informal interaction among students, faculty members, and staff. Such moments help strengthen interpersonal connections and contribute to the close-knit community culture that AIMC takes pride in nurturing. The relaxed setting allowed participants to step away from their academic schedules and engage in friendly conversations and shared laughter.

Phoolon ki Holi at AIMC thus became more than just a festival celebration—it turned into a meaningful expression of cultural appreciation, environmental awareness, and collective joy. The vibrant event beautifully demonstrated how traditional festivities can be celebrated responsibly while preserving their essence of togetherness and happiness.

By blending tradition with sustainability, the institute once again showcased its commitment to holistic learning experiences that go beyond classrooms, fostering values of community spirit, cultural respect, and environmental responsibility among its students.
