The festive fervour illuminated the Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), Dwarka campus as students and faculty came together to celebrate Diwali with grandeur, joy, and creativity. The institute buzzed with excitement, echoing the spirit of togetherness and cultural pride that marks the festival of lights.

The celebration featured three major competitions Rangoli Making, Diya Decoration, and Reel Making where talented students showcased remarkable imagination and creativity. Each corner of the campus reflected vibrant artistry, intricate rangoli patterns symbolising good fortune, beautifully crafted diyas glowing with innovation, and reels capturing the festival’s essence with a modern twist.

Adding to the festive energy were various cultural performances by students, including dance, music, and poetry, which infused the atmosphere with rhythm, emotion, and colour. These performances celebrated India’s diverse traditions and showcased the creative pulse that defines AIMC’s student community. Vaidehi, a PGDM second year student, said that AIMC has become her extended family, a home away from home.

Faculty members applauded the students for their enthusiasm and originality, commending their ability to blend tradition with contemporary expression. The winners of all three competitions will be announced at the end of the event, along with the titles for Best Dressed Male and Female, recognising the festive elegance on campus.

As lamps lit and laughter filled the air, AIMC’s Diwali celebration became a radiant reminder of unity, culture, and the power of creativity.

Further Prof. Sajal Mukherjee, Director of AIMC, wished to everyone a prosperous festival, full of lights, love and hope.

Moreso, Mannat, a student pursuing Corporate Communication & Event Management at AIMC, shared, “It was a pleasure coordinating the entire event. I loved how excited all our performers were and they added charm to the entire celebration.”
