Meet Sahil Bhatia and Vaishali Bhatia from the batch of 2006 from Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar. In a candid interview, the duo goes on to share how they stood by each other through thick and thin and how blessed they truly feel to revel in the Apeejay Education ethos and tradition.
Read edited excerpts here.
What did you pursue after ACFA?
After completing our BCom together from ACFA, my wife continued her studies and completed her MBA from Kurukshetra University, and I joined my family business in Jalandhar city. I am currently involved in managing and expanding our business operations, applying the knowledge and skills I gained during my studies. My wife’s MBA education has helped her develop strong management skills, which she applies in managing household and family activities.
Share your favourite nostalgia.

Our fondest memories from ACFA revolve around lively canteen conversations with friends, walking through familiar college corridors, and the vibrant campus life. We cherish the excitement of cultural fests, stage performances, and, above all, the mentors who shaped our journey and became lifelong guides. These moments will always stay with us.
How was the faculty during your time at college?
The faculty at the college was exceptionally qualified and experienced. They were always supportive, approachable, and encouraging, helping us navigate both academic and personal challenges. Their dedication to teaching and mentoring created a positive learning environment that motivated us to give our best and grow with confidence throughout our college journey.
Apeejay Education is like a family tradition now. what are the pluses about this institute?
ACFA is one of the premier institutes. It has a legacy of excellence in Art and Culture. The college has produced many performers, artists, and designers. Students often win Inter-college, zonal and national competitions in music, dance, theatre, and art. The college emphasises discipline, respect and professionalism.
What advice would you give to future business makers?
Our advice to future business makers is: think like an artist and act like an entrepreneur. Let creativity drive your ideas and innovation, but execute them with strategy, discipline, and practicality. Balance passion with planning, and never stop learning — that’s the true key to building a successful and sustainable venture.
