In this fast-paced world, where people are chasing wealth, their health has sadly taken a backseat. They spend maximum time working and remaining on taking stress, which affects their overall health. Hence, there is a need to raise awareness about the importance of physical health as well as mental well-being.
Thus, to inculcate the importance of physical and mental health, Apeejay Institute of Design (AID) recently organised a fun-filled sports day for its students and teachers in the college premises.
Ms Reetu Betala, Founder Director of AID, launched the event by waving a flag.

The day commenced with a warm-up run, where all the students took a round of the campus with colourful flags in their hands.
Further, various games like sack race, dress-up race, lemon race, slow race, kho-kho, musical chair saw massive engagement. Other games like sareee draping for boys, jalebi race and Shakira twist were coined by the student organising team to maintain the zeal of the day.

All the students and faculties were very enthusiastic throughout the day. To add on to the fun ‘one-minute games’ like arm wrestling, skipping, hit the pyramid, balloon burst, etc. were also enjoyed by the students.
The day reached its prime of excitement by Tug–of–War among girls and boys. To mark the day, everybody assembled and sang the National Anthem at the end. This event helped students to have a positive outlook towards life.
