She has proved her mettle of her ingenuity by bagging an exceptional placement opportunity. Meet Neelam Rathore who is pursuing a PGDM course from Apeejay School of Management (ASM). In a candid interview, she expresses her plans ahead once she polishes her potential at college.

Tell us about your recent placement internship.

I recently got placed at Primewise Consulting as a Business Development and Consulting intern. My role involves developing comprehensive business development strategies, analysing business metrics, and identifying new growth opportunities. I also assist in lead generation, client acquisition, and coordinating sales processes. This internship is providing me with hands-on experience in sales, consulting, and strategic planning, which aligns well with my career aspirations.

Share your favourite college memories.

One of my most cherished memories at ASM was winning first position in the Product Pitch Competition, where I got the opportunity to showcase my marketing and presentation skills. Another unforgettable experience was winning the Finance Shark Tank event, where my team and I developed a strategic cost-cutting plan for a fictional start-up. Apart from the competition, the Coca-Cola industry visit along with the whole batch was a highly enriching experience, providing us with valuable insights into manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and brand operations.

What are your plans?

I aim to build a career in brand management, business consulting, and strategic marketing, where I can leverage my creativity and problem-solving skills.

 Which extracurricular activities do you enjoy?

The institute offers a vibrant extracurricular environment with several student-driven clubs, including the Finance Club, HR Club, Marketing Club, and Operations and Analytics Club. Every Friday, these clubs organise engaging activities where students participate based on their interests and specialisation. As a marketing enthusiast, I actively take part in Marketing Club activities, which allow me to explore creative branding strategies, advertising techniques, and consumer engagement ideas.

Apart from academic clubs, there are also other dynamic communities like the Sports Club and Gender Championship Cell, which provide opportunities for students to engage beyond academics. These extracurricular activities have helped me enhance my creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills while making my college experience more enriching and enjoyable.
