There is no age limit for talent. No matter how young or old, a talent, a visionary genius can astound the world with his/her work. The same applies for Hunar Seth, a student entrepreneur from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar.
Hunar has established his clothing line business named Bloody Gen-Z. He manufactures trendy t-shirts that are a big hit among the modern youth. In a fun and candid conversation with the young achiever, we learn about his journey and steps taken to actualise this dream. Read edited excerpts:

Hi Hunar! Please tell us how you came up with the idea of a clothing line business?
I belong to a business family and I wanted to gain experience in the same from an early stage. I want to experience and train myself on how to talk with people and potential clients and how to manage customers. So, I coupled my aim with my passion. Since I had an avid interest in FMF (Fast Moving Fashion), I decided to open a clothing line business.
That’s a great move! So describe the idea and name of the Bloody Gen-Z clothing brand?
The Bloody Gen-Z clothing brand focuses on the elite
Gen-Z crowd. There is a very funny story behind the naming of the brand. So, one fine day me and my sister went for lunch and I was wearing the typical Generation-Z clothes i.e. the baggy pants and oversized t-shirts. So, my sister looked at me and taunted me in a funny way saying, “You bloody Gen-Z kids” and I picked up the name from there.

That’s hilarious and genius. But now please explain, how you set up the business?
Well, setting up a business requires a systematic and planned approach. I will answer this question through a list of the steps taken, which might also help another entrepreneur.
1- Creating a Business Plan: Outline the brand’s vision, mission, target market, budget and marketing strategies. (A business plan will help you stay organised and focused on your goals).
2- Find Suppliers: Source materials and manufacturers for your clothing. Research suppliers that align with your brand’s values and quality standards.
3- Finding box manufacturers: We provide premium packaging. So, the t-shirt comes wrapped in a bgz logo packaging paper, inside a premium box with a thank you card in it.
4-Design My Clothing: Developing clothing designs and collaborating with designers to create unique pieces that represent my brand’s identity.
5- Setting up the brand’s online presence: Creating the brand’s website and social media platforms to showcase the clothing line.
6-Market My Brand: Use social media campaigns, influencer collaborations, and other marketing strategies to promote the brand. Engage with the audience and build a community around the brand.
But Hunar, how do you manufacture the t-shirts?
I have an in-house manufacturing unit. My fabric comes from Bangladesh and it arrives at our unit. From there we start the manufacturing process.


So, what makes your brand’s T-shirt unique?
The Bloody Gen-Z brand focuses on texts and quotes on the t-shirts that stand apart and instantly appeal to the young crowds. For the look and aesthetic appeal of t-shirts, we use French terry cotton fabric that makes it both ‘cool and comfy’.
And how do you get the orders- social media or word of mouth?
Our 90% sales are from social media and 10% come from word of mouth. There are multiple
t-shirt orders in a week and so, I am quite full with a lot of interesting work.
Your school recently held a special event to encourage you?
Yes, my school has always motivated me. It is thanks to my school that I am confident in facing society and interacting with myriad kinds of people. My business studies teacher gave me the chance to give a presentation to my class about my entrepreneurship venture. The session was graced by my school Principal Ms Sageeta Nistandra as well. It was a great feeling!


So, what’s the next step in your career?
I have realised that things will never go according to the plan in life. I used to play cricket quite well and even represented the Himachal Pradesh state cricket team. Unfortunately, I got a knee injury and had to leave the sport. I was dejected but soon discovered that the business market was so inspiring and full of space to express your creativity. That day I changed my dream and told myself, what if I cannot be a cricketer, I will become successful enough to buy an IPL team. So, one has to always upgrade their dreams and work towards a new success.
