This Apeejay student wins medal in Skill India Competition 2024

Parteek Dutt Sharma of Apeejay College of Fine Arts wins third position in Visual Merchandising’ category

Parteek Dutt Sharma, pursuing Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar recently made his college proud by not just participating in Skill India Competition but also winning 3rd prize in the national level competition.   

Organised at Delhi by Government of India, nearly 900 students from 30 different states participated in different 61+ trades participated in this competition. 

Parteek, who is in 8th semester, participated in the ‘Visual Merchandising’ category. His outstanding work led him to win a medal and certificate.

Sharing his experience of participating in the Skill India Competition, Prateek expressed, “It was an absolute privilege to participate in the competition and get an opportunity to showcase the skills.” He further added that his previous participation multiple times during Youth Festival in Installation proved to be very helpful to win accolades in this competition.

Congratulating the winner for his achievement, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, encouraged him to keep up the good work. She added, “At Apeejay, we ensure quality education and that students participate in National and International competitions which ultimately gives them exposure to explore and learn in different environments and thus polish themselves and their skills.”

She also acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Anil Gupta, Head, Department of Applied Art,  and the other faculty members of the Department including Mr. Vikram, Mr. Manoj and Mr. Kunj for guiding him.
