As these class IX toppers rise to the threshold of class X, they enter a defining chapter of their academic journey — one that demands not just excellence, but extraordinary commitment Meet Ashriya GuptaMitesh Dutta and Advik Kumar at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, who have scored 99.40%97.20% and 96.20%, respectively, in their final exams.

Sharing about her preparation strategy, Ashriya said, “I usually start preparing early for my exams. This includes creating a timetable, prioritising subjects based on their difficulty level, and completing all subjects well in advance of the exams. However, I believe that practising past question papers is very beneficial because it offers significant insight into the upcoming exams and equips me with a substantial amount of knowledge that enables me to perform well in my exams.”

For Mitesh, the routine was to regularly revise all subjects. “Before exams, my study routine was just based on regular revisions of topics done in school and regular practice for Mathematics. As the exams came closer, I started analysing my weak areas in specific subjects and gave the majority of my scheduled time to them only, along with solving various worksheets sent by the school for every subject,” he added.

Advik explained, “My strategy is to prioritise studying difficult subjects during my peak concentration hours.” I focused on NCERT books and referred to other books to gain in-depth knowledge on each subject. I also practised previous year’s question papers and learnt answer writing techniques by analysing toppers’ feedback.”

With meticulously crafted study timetables, relentless dedication, and a spark of ambition in their eyes, these young achievers are ready to embrace the challenges ahead. Now that all of them are going to face the Board exam soon, how is the anticipation building up?

“Yes, some amount of stress, which is inevitable at a certain level, definitely proves to be handy as it motivates me to improve my performance. But overall, I would say that no major stress level affects me, as I’m sure I will be fully prepared by the time my Boards approach and deal with any level of stress with my hard work and focused approach,” shared Arshiya.

Mitesh expressed his gratitude for his teachers, who are helping him stay calm and motivated. “No, there’s no such tension for the boards now. As teachers are guiding us at every step comprehensively and ensuring that we can prepare for the exam in the best way without being overstressed,” he added.

Furthermore, Advik plans to stay consistent with his studies to avoid any kind of pressure building up later.

Their sincerity and discipline have already earned them admiration, and now, with their parents beaming with pride and their teachers cheering them on, they are set to aim higher. Big dreams await, and this year, they are not just preparing for exams — they’re preparing for greatness.
