At Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, the focus is not just on academic excellence but also on nurturing creativity, confidence, and cultural understanding in its students. Samaira Singh, a class II student, has blossomed in this supportive environment, shares her mother. “After hearing positive feedback from friends about the school’s impressive infrastructure, safety measures, and child-friendly atmosphere, I chose Apeejay School to ensure my daughter’s overall development,” her mother said.

In an impromptu interview, she talks about how the school has contributed to her daughter’s growth – from boosting her creativity to fostering a deep connection with her cultural roots.

How has Samaira’s experience been so far?

She is doing very well. She enjoys extracurricular activities like art and craft, which have really nurtured her creativity. Her communication skills have also improved, thanks to the show-and-tell sessions she participated in during nursery and first grade.

Can you share any memorable moments from Samaira’s time at school?

One memorable moment was when she dressed up as a Punjabi girl for an ethnic day event. She was so happy and proud, and it sparked her curiosity about Punjabi culture — what they eat, how they dress, and more. I loved that she was connecting with her cultural roots.

How have the teachers and Principal helped Samaira feel comfortable at school?

Initially, she was hesitant and nervous after attending online classes during COVID-19. But with the friendly environment created by the teachers and the supportive attitude of the principal, she adapted quickly. Now, she’s very attached to her classmates and teachers, and even misses them during holidays.

How do the teachers contribute to your daughter’s growth?

Her teachers are incredibly supportive. They help her with her work and encourage open communication, which has built her confidence. Samaira looks up to her class teacher and is always eager to share her thoughts and concerns with her.
