Mr. Sanjeev Gupta is self-employed in the field of software development. He is the founder of the software development company Digital Web Adviser Pvt Ltd. His son Aavyaan Gupta is a class 3 student at Apeejay Noida. In an interview, Mr. Gupta mentions how the school is the best fit for his son. Edited excerpts:
Why did you choose Apeejay Noida over other schools for your child’s admission?
The main reason for choosing Apeejay Noida was the ambience of the school. It has a lot of open space, which I feel is essential for the development of a child. The school also has a decent name in the field of education. So, I selected this school for my child.
Please tell us a bit about Aavyaan and take us through his progress at school?
Aavyaan is doing fairly well at the school. He likes to draw a lot. It is one of his favorite pastimes these days. He keeps trying different things. Initially he was into skating, now he is focused on cycling and a little bit of badminton.
As a child, he is not really an introvert but neither is he an extrovert. You may say, he is an ambivert. It just takes him a little bit of time to open up. But once he opens up, he is okay, he feels comfortable and talks with people. He likes Mathematics, drawing and music the most among his subjects at school.
Are the teachers engaging well with the students?
Yes. For the most part of his school time so far, we had a great set of teachers for Aavyaan. Only in kindergarten within a single term, three teachers had changed. That was not very nice and it had an impact on Aavyaan. But apart from that everything is very good. His previous teacher Mrs. Dang was an awesome teacher. His class teacher in Nursery Ms. Meenu Kaushal was a fantastic teacher as well.
What is the best thing about the school?
I think some of the teachers we have seen, some of his class teachers. They are simply fantastic as educators. That is the best part about the school. The teachers have really put in their best efforts to help the children grow. During the pandemic especially, it was a new learning process for students and teachers alike but still the teachers learned and continuously kept growing in that digital mode of learning.
How has the experience of the online classes been for Aavyaan?
It was fairly good. The best that could have been done was done. My only concern was that the school could have focused more on extra-curricular activities.
Now that the schools have reopened, is Aavyaan happy to be back at school?
Yes. He is very happy to see his friends after a long time. He feels very happy to go to school.
