Teachers play a vital role in providing academic, emotional, and social support to their students at any school. “The staff at Apeejay School, Kharghar offer guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to help students navigate challenges and achieve their full potential,” expresses Vaidehi Devdatta Athaval whose son Ashish studies in class VIII here.
Excerpts from the interview
How has your son’s journey at school been so far?
It’s all going great academically and I am happy to see that the teachers are grooming him wonderfully. Even with regards to extracurricular activities, my son is being motivated to participate in different activities more.
How are the teachers here?
They are all exceptionally professional, nice and knowledgeable. They are very particular about holding regular PTMs where I can have one to one interaction with all the teachers and understand my son’s progress better.
Does your son share his aspirations and ambition?
He is only 12 years old right now so he still has a long way to go. I will be content and happy with whatever profession he chooses and pursues, though he hasn’t really decided anything for now.
Do you agree that school is the second home for a child?
I agree with that thought. It is so because the type of impact the teachers create over students is indispensable. My son feels his teachers are akin to the ultimate advice and are irreplaceable. My son never has never got into any insubordination with any teacher at school.
Define your parenting style.
I am not a strict mother and I never believe in pressuring my kids for anything. I want them to grow organically in the due course of time. Both my kids are academically doing well, so I am not too worried in that regard.
Why did you choose Apeejay for your child?
I chose this school because it was suitable in all ways for my children. Since I was first admitted by my first son in this school, I wanted my second one to also be there for easy communication and managing.
