Shivansh Roy Chowdhury, now pursuing a BBA at Don Bosco Technical University, is gearing up for a promising career in management. His journey began with a top choice of humanities in school, followed by a fascination with economics, which laid the foundation for his aspirations. In a heartfelt conversation, his mother, Snigdha Roy Chowdhury, reflects on his school years, his interests, and how Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, played a pivotal role in his transformation. Read edited excerpts:
What inspired Shivansh to pursue a career in management?
He always dreamed of working for a multinational corporation. Choosing management seemed like the natural step for him. While he wasn’t overly academic in the beginning, he had an ambition to make a mark. His interest in economics during his school years sparked this journey and led him to pursue BBA, with plans for an MBA in the future.

In a world crazy about science and commerce, why did he choose humanities?
Shivansh wanted to carve out his own path. He wasn’t inclined toward conventional academic pursuits, but he knew he wanted to achieve something meaningful. Humanities allowed him the freedom to explore subjects like economics, which he found deeply engaging. It ultimately guided him toward his current goals in management.
What were his key interests during school?
Shivansh has always been a sports enthusiast. He played football, cricket, and even dabbled in basketball. He also joined the NCC as a cadet before the pandemic. Additionally, he participated in cultural activities like singing till Class 8 and was actively involved in annual day celebrations. His sports teachers and mentors were instrumental in guiding him through these formative years.
How would you describe his time at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park?
Apeejay Panchsheel Park truly shaped him. The teachers were exceptional—they not only guided but also counseled him, becoming his strongest support system. The school was never a place of fear or harsh treatment for Shivansh. Instead, it became his second home, where he was nurtured with care and encouragement. I am deeply grateful for the role Apeejay played in his growth.
As a parent, are you satisfied with Shivansh’s journey so far?
Absolutely! The teachers went above and beyond to upgrade and upskill him, standing by his side to foster his growth. Their enthusiasm, dedication, and hard work ensured that Shivansh became a confident and capable individual. I couldn’t be happier as a parent.
