Mrs Sangeeta is the mother of Arshit Mohan and Vihaan, students at Apeejay International School, Greater Noida. The brothers studying in classes 1 and 9 respectively are both good orators, having won several awards inside and outside the school. In a quick telephonic conversation, the mother explains what makes the school different from the rest and how their education policy is positively impacting the progress of her children. Read edited excerpts:

Arshit was enrolled in 2020. Was the admission process smooth?

Absolutely. The school called us and quickly completed a few formalities. They did not disturb the child at all.

Why did you enroll your younger child in the same school as the elder one?

My elder son Vihaan was already studying in this school, so I thought that would be a good support to my younger son. Also, their father is an Apeejay alumnus, who had studied at Apeejay School, Noida and Faridabad.

Later, when we shifted here, we did not find a better school than this one. My husband had faith in the Apeejay education system. So, we had that belief that our children are in good hands.

Are you satisfied with the school regarding your children’s growth?

I am totally satisfied. I have seen an all-round development in both my sons. Vihaan is good at studies and loves playing basketball. He was the Spell Bee school topper last year and also has a passion for guitar. He has many friends at school. Both my children are good orators. My younger son, Arshit, has won many oratory awards in the past two years (in various inter-school competitions).

Do the children feel supported by the school?

I would appreciate the school for recognising their skills and giving them the correct opportunities. The school has even instilled that confidence in me as a parent.  They make me see the potential of my children.

What makes this school different from the rest?

The teachers here are so approachable. They are there to hear you out and solve your problems. They are very friendly with the children. The environment at the school is very amiable.

The teachers are just like friends and so the students often approach them with various problems they commonly face in their life. Lastly, every student is given an equal opportunity. The school believes that every child has some qualities, which only need to be identified and nurtured over time.

Finally, one life lesson for your boys?

Believe in your gut. Be a nice human being and you will certainly succeed someday
