The sacred tie: Exploring the mother-child bond

Published

on

A bond between a mother and a child is unbreakable. A mother is like a hero and the greatest force in the world. No one is equal to her as every mother has her own uniqueness. And the mother, who is a creator, loves her child more than anyone else.

A mother is the first teacher who helps her child to understand the laws of the world and teaches us what is good and what is bad.

Scolding is like a tonic for the benefit of learning for a child. Sometimes, the child becomes stubborn so the mother has to scold them.

Every small moment with your mother brings great memories. Your mother is the only cushion when you fall. She guides us with patience and politeness.

In this way, the bond between mother and child continues. It has no end. The bond of them includes the mother to make her child a better human being. A child is always special and precious to a mother and it is her profound belief.  As you love your mother’s company, a mother always loves her child to be with her.

My mother always guides me whenever I want. I do everything with her. We enjoy a lot of activities together like reading books, playing games, doing crafts, and many more. I have so much fun when I am with my mother.

I feel very blessed to have her. Now I want to tell you some examples of having this wonderful relationship of mother and child like me. Everybody knows the Krishna and Mata Yashoda bond. Mata Yashoda loves Krishna a lot and scolds him for his naughtiness as well.

Well, that’s what all mothers do. Mata Parvati also had this beautiful bonding with her children Ganesha, Kartikey, and Ashokasundari. Mata Parvati felt lonely at time, so she thought that  I should have a child.

She took off the body of turmeric and made an idol of a boy named him ‘Heramba’ and brought it to life. After that everybody knew there was a fierce battle between Heramba and Shiva. Shiva chopped off his head. Mata Parvati was so angry with Shiva that Shiva was not able to console her anger,  So Shiva got an elephant head and placed it on the Hermba’s headless body, and brought it back to life. Parvati named him “Ganesha.’

One day, Parvati felt lonely and realised that she wanted a girl child to give her company as Ganesha and Kartikey were always busy in outdoor activities and Shiva was constantly meditating.

She asked to Shiva to take her to the most beautiful garden. Shiva was glad to show her the celestial garden of Nandana at Amravati, the capital city of Indra’s kingdom. There, she saw ‘Kapilavriksha’ , the wish-fulfilling tree.

She prayed to Kapilavriksha to have a girl child which will overcome her loneliness. Just then, she found herself with a baby girl. Parvati named her ‘Ashokasundri’.

This shows that children are the most precious ones in the world. The bond of mother and child lasts forever. I have composed a small verse for my mother-

Oh, Mother, Mother,  You are my heart.

I will keep you, always in my heart.
