Choosing the right school is a significant decision for parents, especially in the early years. Mr Himanshu Karamchandani, father of Class 3 student Dhriti, reflects on how Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, has supported both his child and his family in this journey.

Read edited excerpts:

How has Apeejay School supported you as parents during Dhriti’s early schooling?

The school’s orientations and parent engagement initiatives have been immensely helpful. They clearly communicate expectations, syllabus plans, and child development goals. Over the past few years, Apeejay has consistently built trust with parents, ensuring we feel confident that Dhriti is in safe hands.

Which aspects of the curriculum do you find most beneficial for your child?

Beyond the CBSE-mandated curriculum, the school emphasises extracurricular activities like dance, music, and skating. These sessions allow Dhriti to learn creatively and have fun, balancing academics with personal growth – something I didn’t experience during my own schooling.

Have you noticed any positive changes in Dhriti since joining the school?

Absolutely. Dhriti has grown more confident, understands ethics and values, and enjoys a sense of belonging at school. She interacts well with teachers, staff, and peers, which shows the nurturing environment Apeejay provides.

Can you share a memorable experience from one of Dhriti’s school events?

One instance that stands out is Dhriti’s first stage performance in KG. She was nervous, as were we, but she performed confidently in front of 50–100 people. Seeing her handle that pressure and gain confidence made us extremely proud.

What school activities does Dhriti enjoy the most?

Dhriti treats school as her second home. She loves spending time with friends, participating in activities, and interacting with staff. She is enthusiastic about attending school almost every day, which reflects her comfort and happiness at Apeejay.

Could you share a small incident reflecting the school’s personal touch?

Recently, an in-charge teacher remembered Dhriti by name and asked her to lead her classmates in forming a line for an activity. Dhriti was thrilled, it made her feel recognised and valued, which is so important for a child’s self-confidence.
