Festivals like Christmas aren’t just about games or gifts, they’re about creating memories and building stronger communities. When families come together, there’s magic in the air, laughter, shared experiences, and a sense of belonging that can’t be bought. It’s these moments that bring us closer, creating bonds that last a lifetime.
On December 25, 2024, the atmosphere around GK-II, M Block, Tikona Park was filled with festive cheer as the Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld organised a delightful Christmas carnival that was the talk of the town. The event, which took place on the expansive M Block grounds, was nothing short of a magical celebration, bringing together nearly 400 people, including residents, parents, and, of course, the most important guests of all — children.
A special mention to Dr V.S. Garg, the Education Advisor at Apeejay Education, whose presence at the carnival added a touch of grace and support to the occasion. His attendance further underscored the importance of community gatherings like this one in bringing people together for shared moments of celebration.
The entire carnival was decked out in red and white, with every corner brimming with the true spirit of Christmas. As attendees entered, they were greeted by a giant, beautifully decorated Christmas tree at the gate, setting the perfect tone for the day. The vibe was nothing less than extraordinary — just like stepping into a real-life winter wonderland.
The carnival started at noon, and the fun lasted until 8 pm, with a jam-packed lineup of exciting games, activities, and prizes that kept everyone on their toes. The young ones had a blast, and even the grown-ups couldn’t resist joining in on the fun. There were thrilling attractions like bungee jumping for kids, which had them jumping with joy and a whole host of games that offered ample opportunities for everyone to win some cool prizes.

One of the most entertaining aspects of the event was the plethora of games that had everyone in splits. From the exhilarating Spin the Wheel to the competitive Joyful Ball Toss, there was never a dull moment. The Jolly Ink Junction had everyone guessing with its creative challenges, while the Snowman Smash saw participants giving their best shot to knock down the snowman.
The true showstopper, however, was the choir of young Rhythmites who took to the stage with their enchanting carol singing. The little ones performed traditional carols like Joy to the World and We Wish You a Merry Christmas, filling the air with a sense of wonder and happiness. The performance was so captivating that even Mr Sanjay Rana, the President of the Resident Welfare Association (RWA), was so impressed that he requested an encore performance. The melodic voices of the children added a touch of magic to the already festive day, spreading warmth and joy to everyone in attendance.
“Christmas isn’t a season, it’s a feeling! Believe in the magic of Christmas. Collect moments, not things. May the Christmas season fill your home with joy, your heart with love, and your life with laughter,” Ms Komal Nathani, School Head, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld GK II, said.
The carnival also featured an array of stalls that offered a variety of mouthwatering treats and delightful goodies. Food lovers indulged in tempting bites while others explored stalls filled with handmade decor items, clothing, and other delightful trinkets. The atmosphere was vibrant and festive, with the scent of delicious food in the air and the sound of laughter all around.
“The event was superb. I saw how happy my son was, enjoying every corner of the carnival. I am so glad to take the decision, to spend this festival with him,” Dr Mohd Zeeshan Najam, Professor, School of Biosciences, Apeejay Stya University said, who is also the proud father of Izaan, a student of Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld.
A special touch to the carnival was the presence of Mrs Kiran Loomba, a representative from the GK Block, who was dressed up as Santa Claus. She took on the joyous task of distributing gifts to all the children, spreading cheer and happiness wherever she went. “Christmas is such a delightful festival,” Mrs. Loomba shared, beaming with joy. “It symbolises unity and harmony, and it’s such a wonderful way to give. This is my first time dressing as Santa, and I’m enjoying it, seeing all the kids so happy,” she shared.
“It was the first time that my daughter and I attended a carnival, and surprisingly it was more amazing than I expected. I am super excited to see how my daughter is playing around and having fun,” Ms Priyanka, mother of Siddhiksha, studying at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, stated.
As the event came to a close, the carnival left everyone with hearts full of joy and a sense of community. The excitement, laughter, and togetherness on display reminded everyone of the magic of Christmas and how such events play a significant role in fostering a sense of unity among people of all ages.
This Christmas carnival wasn’t just a fun-filled day of games and festivities — it was a celebration of unity, love, and the timeless joy of Christmas. It served as a reminder that such events not only create wonderful memories but also strengthen the bonds within the community, bringing people closer and encouraging the spirit of giving and togetherness. The smiles on the faces of the children, the laughter echoing through the grounds, and the warmth in the air were all testaments to the success of this heartwarming event.
