‘The key to my success has been the support from my teacher’

Aadit Sinha, a standout student from Apeejay School, Noida, has excelled in Physical Education, scoring the highest marks of 90 in all sessions of 11th grade for the academic year 2023-24. With 14 years at Apeejay, Aadit’s journey is a testament to his dedication and the supportive environment of the school. Apeejay Newsroom spoke with Aadit about his experiences, strategies, and aspirations. Here’s what he shared:

Aadit, can you tell us about your experience at Apeejay School and how it has shaped your academic journey?

I’ve been with Apeejay since nursery, and it’s been an amazing journey. Over the past 14 years, I’ve learned a lot, made lifelong friends, and had excellent teachers. The support from the school staff has been phenomenal, and their encouragement has played a significant role in my achievements.

What factors do you think contributed to your success in Physical Education?

The key to my success has been the support from my teacher. He was always available to help me, whether in class or outside. His dedication and willingness to clear any doubts I had were invaluable. Practicing a variety of questions and focusing on previous years’ papers before exams also helped me prepare effectively.

How did you manage your time and study schedule to achieve such high marks?

I divided my day into different study sessions, allocating time based on the subject’s importance and difficulty. For major subjects, I spent more time, while I adjusted my schedule for other subjects accordingly. This time management strategy was crucial for balancing my studies effectively.

Did you face any challenges during your transition from Class 10 to 11? How did you overcome them?

Yes, there was a noticeable difference in teaching styles and content complexity between Class 10 and 11. Initially, this transition was challenging, but as I adapted to the new methods and focused on understanding the material, I was able to excel in my final exams.

What role did the school and your teachers play in your preparation for future goals, particularly for IITs?

The school and teachers have been incredibly supportive. They motivated us, provided extensive practice problems, and helped us get accustomed to the types of questions that might appear in higher-level exams. Their guidance has been a driving force in my preparation for IITs.

Can you share how participating in extracurricular activities, like cricket, has contributed to your overall development?
Participating in inter-house cricket matches organized by the school has been a great experience. It allowed me to engage in sports and develop team spirit while balancing academics. The opportunities provided by the school helped me grow both academically and personally.

What advice would you give to students aiming to achieve high academic performance?

My advice would be to stay focused and know your goals. Concentrate on your studies, manage your time well, and follow a structured path. It’s important to stay committed and not waste time on distractions.

How has Apeejay School prepared you for your future aspirations?

Apeejay has been instrumental in preparing me for my future. The rigorous academic training and practice we receive have made me confident in tackling challenging questions. I feel well-prepared for the JEE and other competitive exams, thanks to the school’s comprehensive approach.
