Deepawali, commonly called as Diwali, is the festival of lights which is celebrated to symbolise the victory of good over evil, light over darkness. It is an occasion to rejoice, rejuvenate and spread happiness to all, which in turn lights up the world around us.

Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg celebrated the festival by organising a ‘Diwali Dhamaal’ (carnival) in the school. The ‘Diwali Dhamaal’ carnival 2021 came as a breath of fresh air for the school after two years of the pandemic.

The guests of honour for the carnival were Mrs Seema Chopra and Mrs Parminder Beri.

The event included dance performances, stand-up comedy, and song performances by students. The audience for the carnival comprised students from classes nursery to five along with their parents.

Entertaining stand-up comedy performances were delivered by former students Manraj Singh Saggi and Gurasis Singh.  They sent ripples of laughter all across the floor. Yuvraj Sachdeva, another proud alumnus of the school, mesmerised the gathering with his melodious singing.

Anadi Mishra, a renowned singer and alumnus of the school, brought cheer to everybody’s faces with his energetic tracks that made the audience take to the dance floor.

It was an evening of laughter, joy and festive fervour.

“The Diwali Dhamaal 2021 came as a whiff of fresh air, sending vibes of positivity and gaiety all across after a long gap of social and physical distancing. Our students and their parents participated in it with full enthusiasm.”
