The shift to online learning as illustrated by the COVID-19 pandemic, The effectiveness of online learning has been a subject of debate . However, the notable key points considering the benefits and challenges of online education are as follows.

Advantages

1.      Flexibility and accessibility

 student or user can access course material from any location and at any time making education more Inclusive. students can access data through online mode in the form of document ,PDF, JPG ETC.

 Online platforms often provide interactive tools such as multimedia sources and various websites which provide notes on various topics which enhance the learning experience.

2.      Cost effectiveness

 online learning can more affordable due to lower tuition fees and eliminate communication costs and travelling cost of the student

3.      Personalised learning

 student can learn at their own pace allowing for better understanding and retention of information

 the use of video podcasts and different learning styles enhance the potential of student for understanding the topics quickly

 challenges faced due to online learning

1.      Self  discipline and motivation

Unlike traditional classroom settings, students are required to be motivated and should  be disciplined for self study through online mode because this is one of the biggest challenges faced by the students. In order to overcome this challenge, students must prepare a to-do list and act accordingly.

2.      Quality of course design

The effectiveness of online courses heavily depends upon the quality  of course design.  If it is not properly designed,  students are not able to clear their doubts.

3.      Lack of face to face interaction

Lack of in person interaction limits the opportunity to learn more and clear doubt.

Online learning offers significant advantages in terms of flexibility, accessibility and personalised learning but there are also various disadvantages of online learning suggest lack of face to face interaction, low quality of course and lack of self-discipline.
