The Dr Stya Paul Memorial Inter-school Competitions illuminate talent and vision

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri recently hosted a two-day prestigious Dr Stya Paul Memorial Inter-school Competitions filled with enthusiasm, talent, and learning. The event, established in 2011 in honour of Founder-Chairman Dr Stya Paul, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, aimed to inspire students to pursue holistic development and success.

The competition featured Chess and Solo Dance events, with participants from various schools warmly welcomed by the school staff. The Principal of the school, Dr Vineet Vasishtha inaugurated the day with an inspiring address, reflecting on the life and achievements of Dr Stya Paul, who overcame the challenges of polio at the age of two, to become a respected industrialist, educationist, and philanthropist. His belief in the all-round development of children continues to inspire, and this event exemplified his vision.

The Chess competition, spanning two days, was divided into junior and senior categories, with 42 participants demonstrating their strategic skills. In the senior category, Chand of Aryavrat School clinched first place, followed by Dev of Red School in second, and Arnav of Apeejay School in third. In the junior category, Samrat of Red School secured first place, Mukul of SCR took second, and Suyash of Aryans Model School earned third.

“The Dr Stya Paul Memorial Inter-school Competitions hold immense significance as they celebrate the vision of holistic development cherished by Dr Stya Paul. By engaging students in diverse activities, this event nurtures their skills, builds confidence, and fosters

sportsmanship. Such competitions are instrumental in guiding students on the path to success, as envisioned by Dr Stya Paul, encouraging them to become well-rounded individuals and responsible citizens,” Dr Vasishtha said.

Meanwhile, the Solo Dance Competition captivated the audience with mesmerising performances that highlighted creativity and artistry. The prize distribution ceremony was held, with the winners receiving trophies and certificates. Special tokens of appreciation were also presented to the judges for their valuable contributions.

The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving participants and spectators with unforgettable memories while honouring the legacy of Dr Stya Paul and encouraging students to excel in every aspect of life
