Every great creator starts with a small idea – and sometimes, a little push from mom. For Radha Deulkar, a Class V student at Apeejay School, Kharghar, that spark came from her music classes and a simple suggestion from her mother: “Why not start your own YouTube channel?” What began as a fun experiment soon turned into Fun Learn World with RKD, a colourful space filled with dance, music, stories, and adventures. Today, Radha’s channel is not just about content; it’s about confidence, culture, and creativity.

Supported by her mother and cheered on by her school, Radha is using her talents to share positivity, knowledge, and culture – one video at a time.

Tell us how your YouTube journey began. What was the inspiration behind it?

It all started with my music classes. I learn classical songs and ragas there. One day, my mother suggested, “Why don’t you start your own YouTube channel?” I thought it was a really interesting idea. So with her help, I created the channel and began uploading videos.

That’s so exciting! And what does your channel focus on?

My channel is called Fun Learn World with RKD – RKD stands for Radha Kapil Deulkar, my full name! I upload videos on singing, dancing, stories, and sometimes even about the places I visit. It’s all about fun and learning.

Do you remember your very first video? What was it about?

Yes! My first video was a story I had told in a competition when I was in Class I. The story was called Love and Time. I even made props for it. I won the first prize and later decided to upload it to my channel.

How did you feel after uploading that first video?

I felt very happy and excited. It was fun to see my story being shared with others.

What kind of videos do you enjoy creating the most?

Definitely singing and dancing. One of my favourite videos is a folk dance I performed on songs like Mi Hai Koli, Ekvira Aai, and Dayan Sakli Sonyachi. I loved performing those Maharashtrian folk dances.

Do your friends and teachers know about your channel? What do they think?

Yes, they know! My friends and teachers say that my videos are nice and full of information. Some even say they love watching them.

Running a YouTube channel takes effort. Who helps you with filming and editing?

My mother helps me a lot. She records my videos and helps with editing too. We use an app called VideoShow and also make thumbnails for the videos.

And how do you manage your schoolwork alongside creating content?

Most of my videos are based on competitions or activities from Apeejay School. So I already know the content well. I shoot the video first and then focus on my studies. Sometimes, teachers record my performance at school and send it to my mother; other times, we shoot at home.

Any message you’d like to share with your viewers?

Yes! Watch my videos, learn something new, and share them with others so more people can enjoy and learn too!
