Mrs. Neha Dhingra, currently a homemaker is a former Computer Science teacher at New Green Fields School. Her husband Mr. Mohit Kumar Dhingra is an IT Specialist at ASIT Company. They are proud parents of Jahanvi Dhingra, class student 10 at Apeejay Saket and Enakshi Dhingra, an Apeejay Saket alumnus. In an interview, Mrs. Dhingra appreciates the school teachers for their sacrifices during the online classes and also describes how happy her daughter is due to the reopening of the school. Edited excerpts:
Why did you choose Apeejay Saket over other schools for your daughter’s admission?
We chose the school for Jahanvi since her sibling was also there. So she would feel supported. For my elder daughter, we chose Apeejay Saket since it is a very good school. The school was a small unit back then but it had all the facilities that are provided in the big schools. The teachers at the school are excellent. So, we went ahead with the school.
Please tell us a bit about Jahanvi and take us through her progress at school?
Jahanvi has lost her interest in physical activities since the lockdown. Earlier, she used to do PT, dance, music and other activities with much vigour in the school but staying at home for such a long time has made her lose her interest in these activities. Now she is more into reading books and watching movies. She started with the Harry Potter series and is reading a lot of science fiction at present. At school she is doing very well. English is her favourite subject.
Are the teachers engaging well with the students?
Yes. The teachers without a doubt are very good. The way they coped up with the online classes during the lockdown, it was simply remarkable. I would like to thank Rafia Ma’am, Jahanvi’s class teacher. She is also her favourite teacher. She teaches her English.
What is the best thing about Apeejay School, Saket?
I feel the best thing about Apeejay Saket are its teachers. They are very good and they teach the children in an excellent manner.
How was the experience of the online classes for Jahanvi?
It was really very good. The online classes happened smoothly. She never faced any problem.
Now that the schools have reopened, is Jahanvi happy to be back at school?
She is very happy. She doesn’t want there to be a lockdown anymore. At the moment, she is enjoying life with her friends at school.
