What was your reaction when you were selected for the award?

Being shortlisted for the interview rounds was an honour in itself, but receiving the award on Founder’s Day came as a truly unforgettable surprise. When the Principal announced my name, I was completely overwhelmed. My eyes filled with tears as a long-cherished dream finally came true, turning years of hope and quiet perseverance into a moment of pure joy and pride.

How do you define human values?

Human values like honesty, respect, and responsibility form the foundation of making the right choices. In a world that often feels like an endless rat race, these values are what help us preserve our compassion and build genuine trust with one another.

In what ways do you consciously practise empathy, integrity, and respect within your school community?

I strive to live these values by listening attentively to others without passing judgment and by being truthful in my actions. I show respect by acknowledging and appreciating the opinions of my peers. Through active participation in school activities, I also ensure fairness, so that everyone feels valued, encouraged, and confident in their contributions.

How has your school environment influenced your outlook on ethics?

It has consistently taught us that values matter just as much as academic success. Through school assemblies, social initiatives, and the Interact Club, I have learned that true leadership is not about authority, but about service—taking responsibility and working selflessly to create positive change.

How do you think students can use their voices and actions to create a more inclusive and supportive environment?

Students can create meaningful change by standing up for those who are left out, valuing collaboration over competition, and offering both emotional and academic support to our specially-abled peers.

What role do teachers, mentors, or family members play in guiding your moral compass?

My teachers and mentors lead by example through their discipline and conduct, while my family strengthens these values at home. Their unwavering support keeps my moral compass aligned, reminding me to stay accountable and to choose what is right, even during moments of doubt or discouragement.

If you could initiate one value-based change or movement in your school, what would it be?

If I were to start an initiative, it would be a ‘Values Reflection Forum’. This platform would encourage students to share real-life experiences where they practiced honesty, empathy, or kindness. By discussing these moments openly, students could learn from one another’s examples, inspiring everyone to move beyond theory and truly live these values in their everyday school life.
