Ada is passionate about drawing and values her learning experience at this school. While she has many interests, she at present, aspires to pursue a career in Finance and Economics, driven by her curiosity and analytical skills.
Tell us about yourself.
I’m 13 years old and in grade IX. Drawing is one of my favourite hobbies. I enjoy expressing myself through art and always try to be as honest and true to myself as possible in everything I do.
How do you feel about being awarded the Dr Stya Paul award for the first time?

When I found out I had been selected for this award, I was happy at the same time, I was a little surprised. Honestly, I didn’t think I would be chosen, so it felt amazing to have my hard work recognised.
Who do you look up to?
My role model is my mother because she’s the one who taught me the importance of being honest. Growing up, I’ve always admired her for her integrity and openness, and that’s something I’ve tried to carry with me. She’s also the reason why I value loyalty and honesty so much in my friendships.

What is one thing about Dr Stya Paul’s life that has inspired you the most?
I know he was very active in the community, and that’s something I want to work on myself. He inspired me a lot because he didn’t just talk about making a difference, he got involved. He did charity work, met people, and gave talks, which caught my attention. It made me realise how important community service is, and now I want to be more active in it too. Specifically, I want to focus on social issues like gender inequality. I feel strongly about helping people who are discriminated against because of their gender, or who feel like they’re not accepted in society.
How has the school helped you become the person you are today?
Apeejay’s IB School has played a crucial role in my personal growth and development. It’s like the backbone of my journey, always supporting and guiding me along the way. The best part about my experience at the school is knowing that they’ve consistently been there for me, offering guidance and opportunities to help me learn and improve.
Any thoughts for the day you would like to mention?
Stay motivated, keep a positive mindset, and always treat others with kindness.
