The Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar recently organised an enlightening and highly interactive expert lecture in collaboration with Tech-Cad Institute, Jalandhar. The session focused on the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), two technologies that are redefining industries across the globe.

The highlight of the event was the live demonstration of Chi-Chi, an advanced AI and ML-based humanoid robot developed by Tech-Cad. Students and faculty were fascinated to witness Chi-Chi’s dynamic capabilities, including interactive communication, object recognition, and adaptive responsive behavior. This real-time demonstration showcased how far robotics and intelligent systems have advanced and gave participants a glimpse into the practical applications of emerging technologies.

The lecture went beyond surface-level knowledge, providing an in-depth exploration into the concepts of AI, ML, robotics, and automation. Experts from Tech-Cad explained the development process behind humanoid robots like Chi-Chi, highlighting how algorithms, data sets, and machine learning models work together to build systems capable of mimicking human intelligence. They further emphasized the vast potential of AI and ML in shaping the future technological landscape, ranging from healthcare and education to manufacturing, finance, and beyond.

For the students, the session was more than a technical lecture; it was a transformative experience that bridged the gap between theoretical classroom learning and real-world industry innovations. Many students expressed that witnessing Chi-Chi in action made abstract concepts more tangible and ignited their curiosity to explore careers and research in the fields of AI and ML.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, lauded the initiative and appreciated the combined efforts of the IT and Engineering Departments in hosting such a forward-looking session. He encouraged students to actively participate in these extra-curricular activities, emphasizing that exposure to cutting-edge technology not only enhances technical skills but also contributes to their overall holistic development. “We must ensure that our students are industry-ready, and lectures like these play a vital role in preparing them for the demands of the global technology arena,” he added.

The lecture also reflected AIMETC’s strong commitment to delivering a progressive and future-ready education. By organizing collaborations with industry leaders like Tech-Cad Institute, the institute continues to equip students with skills that extend beyond academics, ensuring they are prepared for the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The event concluded on an enthusiastic note, with students engaging in interactive discussions with the Tech-Cad experts, raising questions about AI ethics, career opportunities in ML, and the scope of humanoid robotics in India. The palpable excitement in the hall reinforced the success of the lecture, which achieved its purpose of sparking innovation, creativity, and curiosity among the budding technocrats of AIMETC.

Overall, the expert lecture was not only an engaging academic experience but also an inspiring glimpse into the limitless possibilities of AI and ML. AIMETC looks forward to organizing more such impactful sessions that continue to enrich student learning and keep them at the forefront of technological advancement.
