Recently, Apeejay School, Kharghar, organised a staff picnic at Discover Resort, Pali. The outing offered teachers and staff a refreshing break from their daily responsibilities. Nestled amid lush greenery, the resort set the tone for a calm and cheerful day. The change of setting helped everyone slow down, breathe easy, and enjoy time together away from classrooms and schedules.
The day was carefully planned to ensure a balance of relaxation and engagement. A range of group games and light recreational activities encouraged participation and laughter. Music added to the festive mood, while informal conversations allowed colleagues to connect on a more personal level. These shared moments strengthened bonds and reminded everyone of the value of teamwork beyond formal roles.
The hospitality at Discover Resort added greatly to the experience. The staff enjoyed well-arranged meals that catered to different tastes. Sitting together over food created a relaxed space for conversation and reflection. It also reinforced a sense of equality and belonging, where everyone felt included and valued.
More than just an outing
The day served a larger purpose than leisure alone. It supported staff well-being and reinforced the importance of balance in a demanding profession. Spending time together in a relaxed environment helped reduce stress and build mutual trust. What this really means is that small initiatives like these can have a lasting impact on morale.
The day ended on a positive note, with staff returning refreshed and energised. The picnic will be remembered as a thoughtful initiative that strengthened camaraderie and contributed to a positive work culture at Apeejay School, Kharghar.
