Schools support their students by creating a nurturing and structured learning environment that strengthens both academic and personal development. “Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, is in itself a symbol of rich legacy and a steadfast commitment to value-based education. We are alumni of the same institution, so our child was well acquainted with its nurturing environment, dedicated educators, and strong sense of commitment. Over the years, this school has grown into a distinguished and respected brand, and I take immense pride in being associated with it,” shares Parul Gupta, whose son, Satvik, studies in Class III here.
Read on to know how the school also encourage participation in co-curricular activities such as art, music, and sports to promote creativity and teamwork.
Which extracurricular activities boost his personality?
Chess is the main activity that really boosts his personality. He has participated in many school and outside tournaments and has won many trophies and medals. In some competitions, he even came first among 60 students, which made us extremely proud. Winning first place in such big competitions shows his strong focus, smart thinking, and regular practice. Every trophy motivates him to work harder and improve himself. Chess has also taught him patience, confidence, and how to stay calm in pressure situations.
How is his learning and growth so far?
His learning journey has been excellent so far. He is very curious, attentive in class, and always eager to learn new things. The balance of extracurricular and academics has significantly enhanced his analytical thinking, memory power, and problem-solving abilities, which are positively reflected in his academics as well. He consistently performs well in his studies, too.
How do you handle his studies at home?
We maintain a structured yet supportive routine. We encourage him to complete his homework on time and revise his lessons regularly. Instead of pressuring him, we focus on understanding concepts clearly and making learning enjoyable. We also ensure he gets enough time to practice chess and relax, as we believe a healthy balance between studies and extracurricular activities is very important.
How are the teachers supporting your child?
The teachers are exceptionally supportive and encouraging. They provide relevant and well-structured study materials, and they make the learning process engaging and interactive. They also offer constructive and timely feedback, which helps me identify and improve upon the areas where my child may be falling behind. I am truly grateful to my teachers for the dedication, effort, and care they consistently invest in our growth and success.
How do you remember this school as an alumnus?
I have been part of this prestigious institution since childhood. I have spent many years learning and growing. It has shaped my character, helping me become a responsible, disciplined, and trustworthy individual, while nurturing my values, confidence, and overall personal development.
