Teachers’ Day turns into an emotional rollercoaster

“A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart.” This timeless thought beautifully came alive as Apeejay School,  Sector 15, Faridabad, observed Teachers’ Day 2025 with warmth, gratitude, and vibrant participation. The occasion wasn’t just a celebration; it was a heartfelt tribute to the guiding lights who shape the lives and futures of students. 

The day’s proceedings began with a solemn homage to Dr S Radhakrishnan, eminent philosopher, scholar, and late President of India, whose birth anniversary is marked as Teachers’ Day. His legacy of wisdom and vision in education was fondly remembered, followed by a soulful prayer that invoked blessings for the well-being of the entire school community.

In her inspiring address, the school’s Principal, Mrs Snehlata Krishnan, read out a special message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, lauded the students for their creativity and commitment in curating such a meaningful event while extending her warm appreciation to the entire teaching fraternity for their relentless service and dedication.

This day is truly special, as the role of teachers is central to any educational institution. It is also a moment to honour your invaluable contribution in shaping the youth and, through them, the nation.

“I appreciate your dedication, resilience, and commitment. You have always shown strength in the face of challenges, and I am confident you will continue to do so in the days ahead.

Teachers are more than just educators. You are mentors and role models who inspire, encourage curiosity, build confidence, empower, and help students discover their true potential. The effective implementation of innovative pedagogies and a focus on the social and emotional well-being of students have immensely contributed towards making learning more meaningful, engaging, and joyful.

I am happy that you are continually taking professional development initiatives to enhance your skills and staying updated on the best practices. I urge you to keep striving to be the best version of yourselves, for in doing so, you can inspire all those around you.

The 2025 Teachers’ Day celebration at Apeejay School, Faridabad, was more than just a festive occasion. It stood as a graceful reminder of the indelible mark teachers leave on society. The stage then transformed into a canvas of colours, rhythm, and emotion. Students enthralled the audience with their spectacular dance performances that showcased grace, storytelling, and flawless synchronisation. The energy and artistry left the gathering spellbound, drawing waves of applause and admiration.

Adding depth to the celebrations was a poignant recital of a poem on gratitude. With evocative verses, students poured out their appreciation for their teachers— acknowledging them as patient mentors, caring supporters, and tireless inspirers who guide them through every step of learning and growth.

A highlight of the programme was the special awards ceremony led by students, designed to honour the dedication and perseverance of teachers. The heartfelt initiative not only recognised academic guidance but also the nurturing spirit that educators bring into every classroom. The emotions in the room were palpable as teachers received the tokens of love and appreciation, many of them visibly moved by the gesture.
