He is from the 1998 batch of Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad. His wife, Mansi Lalwani, who holds a BCom degree and a master’s in Finance and Control (MFC), has been a teacher for 12 years. Together, they are proud parents of son, Aavyaan Lalwani, who is in Class III (now promoted to Class IV) and studying in the same school. His brother Himanshu ( BTech & MBA) too studied in this school (same 1998 batch). Meet Nishant Lalwani, who pursued a BTech in Electronics and Communication and later completed his MTech in Electronic Product Design and Technology at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

In a candid interview, he says that the spirit of the school is most familiar.

Tell us about yourself.

After completing my post-graduation, I spent nearly a decade in the R&D division at LG Electronics, Greater Noida. Travelling internationally and leading technology transfers to India, including innovations in Microwave Engineering -Glass touch panels, Water Purifier- RO membranes, and Air Purifier-HEPA filtration and across multiple product lines in Kichen Appliances & Dsiplay Division. I later joined Panasonic India, Gurgaon- as Product Manager for Water Purifiers.  In 2015, I turned entrepreneur, launching an international dessert outlet and managing premium gift and stationery brands in the city.

What is one value or lesson from your time at the school that has stayed with you?

One value that has truly stayed with me from my time is discipline with balance. The school emphasised consistency, responsibility, and respect, while also encouraging us to explore academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. That mix taught me how to manage my time, stay committed to my goals, and grow as a well-rounded person. I still apply that lesson in my studies, work, and personal life. The school motto Soaring High is my Nature continues to guide me, especially during tough times.

As an alumnus and now a parent, what feels most familiar about the school today?

What feels most familiar is the spirit of the school. While management and infrastructure have evolved, the core values of curiosity, character, and community remain unchanged. Teachers still focus on the overall growth of each child. Assemblies, annual events, sports days, and even familiar corners near the swimming pool bring back memories. The school motto continues to connect generations.

What made you choose this school for your son?

I chose it for its academic reputation, experienced faculty, and focus on overall development, child safety, facilities, values, discipline, and strong community culture. The location is convenient for us, but more than that, the school feels like an extended home for my child.

Do you see similarities between your school experiences and your child’s?

Yes, I do. Learning styles, personalities, school dynamics, strengths, and even struggles feel similar, though more polished today. Most importantly, the school’s motto remains the same. Seeing my child grow under the same guiding thought is deeply meaningful for me.

How does it feel to watch your child study at the same school you once attended?

It feels like standing in two timelines at once. There is nostalgia, of course. I notice hallway corners where I once waited for friends and classroom windows that framed my own daydreams. Ordinary details suddenly glow with memory. Watching my child walk through the same spaces adds a quiet, tender layer of pride and gratitude.

What do you hope your child carries forward from their journey?

I hope my child carries forward strong values, curiosity, and confidence. Beyond academics, I want them to think critically, express themselves clearly, and respect different perspectives. Above all, I hope the school nurtures resilience, a lasting love for learning, and a sense of responsibility toward the world. My heartfelt thanks to the entire school fraternity!
