In a spontaneous farewell to their undergraduate years, the graduating class of 2025 swapped lecture halls for the winding streets of Rajasthan, turning a scheduled field trip into an unofficial graduation ceremony that will be remembered as the class’s final chapter.
The week‑long excursion began with the iconic City Palace, where students described the view of the sunset over Lake Pichola as “pure magic.” From cramped balconies they snapped the sort of chaotic group photos that only classmates can appreciate, capturing a moment that felt far removed from any textbook.
A quiet shift occurred at Haldighati, where the group stood on historic ground and reflected on the courage and sacrifice that once unfolded there. “It was a moment of shared silence and respect,” said one participant, who preferred to remain anonymous.
The itinerary continued to Chittorgarh, whose massive fort offered panoramic vistas and a tangible connection to the past. Walking through its ancient corridors, students felt they were stepping through layers of history, an experience that reinforced the academic lessons of their courses.
Beyond the monuments, it was the everyday details that resonated most: the rumble of the bus, the bitter taste of local coffee, spontaneous jokes that erupted without warning, and the mentorship of professors who joined the adventure. “We went for the history, but we came back with memories that feel just as timeless,” another student remarked.
For many, the trip transcended a simple excursion. It became a symbolic transition, a blend of education and experience that marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. As the sun set on their final day in Udaipur, the students carried with them not only photographs and souvenirs, but a collective sense that something within each of them had irrevocably changed.
