The HR Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, recently organised an engaging and intellectually stimulating event titled “Case Crafters: HR Problem-Solving Battle.” The competition aimed to cultivate analytical thinking, teamwork, and decision-making abilities among students by challenging them with real-world human resource management scenarios.

The core objective of the event was to simulate organisational challenges that HR professionals encounter and encourage participants to devise practical, creative, and strategic solutions. Through this platform, students were able to apply theoretical HR concepts to real business cases, enhancing their problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills — all vital for success in future managerial roles.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various programmes, making it a vibrant display of innovation, critical thinking, and collaboration. Participants were grouped into teams and presented with complex HR cases that demanded both analytical reasoning and creative strategy. They were judged on parameters such as clarity of problem analysis, feasibility of solutions, teamwork, and presentation effectiveness.

After several rounds of intense discussion and strategic presentation, the winners were announced:
The first position was secured by the team of Kamakshi, Anjali, and Khushi from B.Com (H) I, along with Archita and Jatin from BBA 5th semester.  Second position went to Harkirat Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Komal, and Lipakshi Singh from MBA I. And the third position was claimed by a multi-disciplinary team comprising Arushi Suri (B.Tech CSE), Jai (BBA I), Vatash (BBA V), Sidhant (BBA I), and Nakul (MBA I).

The event was meticulously planned under the guidance of Convener Dr. Anuradha and Faculty Coordinator Dr. Smriti Popli, whose efforts ensured a smooth and enriching learning experience for all participants.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Bagga, Director of AIMETC, lauded the initiative and commended the HR Club for organising such a thought-provoking event. He remarked, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the HR Club for hosting an impactful and innovative activity. Events like these encourage students to think critically, embrace creativity, and design HR solutions that reflect the evolving nature of the modern workplace. Such initiatives not only enrich academic learning but also prepare our students to excel as professionals and leaders.”

The event concluded with applause and appreciation for all participants, reinforcing AIMETC’s commitment to experiential learning and holistic student development through hands-on management experiences.
