Students of this school step into democracy 

Democracy thrives where voices are heard and choices respected. Apeejay School, Noida upheld this spirit as it conducted the much-awaited Student Council elections for Classes VI to VIII. This engaging event allowed students to participate actively in electing their class representatives, giving them a real taste of democratic values. The event marked a significant milestone in promoting leadership, responsibility, and democratic participation among middle school students.

The process began with an open call for nominations. Interested students were encouraged to submit their names for the Class Representative post. The nominations underwent a thorough screening process, and candidates were shortlisted based on their expressed interest, leadership potential, and feedback provided by their respective teachers. This ensured that the final list of candidates included students who were genuinely motivated and had the support of their peers and teachers alike.

On the day of the elections, classrooms were transformed into polling booths under the watchful supervision of class teachers. Each student was granted the right to cast two votes — one for a boy and one for a girl candidate from their class. This approach promoted equal representation and ensured balanced leadership.

Ballot papers were distributed, and students cast their votes in an organised and disciplined manner. The entire process was executed with strict adherence to fairness and transparency, instilling in students the core values of democratic conduct. Class teachers meticulously counted the votes, and the candidates securing the highest number of votes in each category were declared the class representatives.
