
Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, in collaboration with the District Administration and Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, successfully organised a Painting Competition featuring both manual and digital categories. The competition focused on themes of sports, nature, and the art and culture of Punjab. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar.
Students from the Departments of Fine Arts, Applied Art, Design, and Multimedia showcased their artistic prowess, displaying creativity and technical excellence. The competition served as a platform for young artists to express their interpretations of the given themes through vivid colors and innovative digital techniques.
Lauding the enthusiastic participation of students, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, emphasised the institution’s dedication to fostering artistic talent. She highlighted, “Apeejay College of Fine Arts has always been at the forefront of fine arts education, with students actively participating in such events to demonstrate their skills and passion for art.”

Manual Painting Category:
- First Position: Sahil (MA – Fine Arts)
- Second Position: Natasha (MA – Fine Arts)
- Third Position: Megha Thakur (BDM)
- Consolation Prizes: Palak (MA – Fine Arts) and Riddhi Gupta (BFA)
Digital Painting Category:
- First Position: Aashi Jaiswal (BFA)
- Second Position: Diya Talwar (BFA)
- Third Position (Tie): Kiran (BDM) and Mehak Gupta (BDM)
The winners received accolades for their outstanding contributions, with their artworks standing out for their originality, technique, and thematic representation.
Dr. Dhingra congratulated all the winners and participants for their commendable efforts. She also appreciated the hard work and dedication of the faculty members who played a crucial role in making the event a success. Special recognition was given to:
