Students make their college proud at ‘The Quest 2023’

The students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, made their college proud by winning the first runner up trophy in literary competition ‘THE QUEST 2023.’ The inter-college competition was recently organised by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya Autonomous College.
Simran Bawa, a student pursuing BA at ACFA, was awarded as the ‘Best Speaker’ at the competition. At the same time, Simran along with Kreetina Rai of MA English 2nd semester secured the second position in the debate competition.
Sharing her views from this achievement, Simran Bawa of BA 6th semester said, “It was a great learning experience at The Quest 2023. I learnt the do’s and don’ts of debate competition. Listening to others’ impactful speeches made me realise that I can improvise my delivery style. Winning the prize was such a surreal feeling because I felt honoured to be awarded amongst the crowd of such refined speakers.”
Another winner Kreetina Rai of MA English said, “It was an amazing opportunity for us to learn so many things at the competition. I enjoyed the competition and I agree that the judgement was fair.”
Meanwhile, Aditya and Soumya Arora, second-year students, and Prabhsaroop Singh, a first-year student, made the college proud by winning second position in the quiz competition.
Further, winner Aditya Sharma said, “I participated in the quiz competition and our team won the second prize. It was a fair competition. My team and I learned so many new things. We are thankful to the Apeejay College of Fine Arts for this exposure.”
Congratulating the students, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal at ACFA said, “The students’ participation in various academic competitions is helping the learn new things while ensuring the overall development of their personality.”
She also appreciated the efforts of faculty members, including Dr. Navjot Deol, Mr. Vishav Bandhu Verma and Ms Riddhima Goel for guiding students for these competitions.
