Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, continues its commitment to holistic student development with a free skill enhancement session titled “Beauty and Skin Care Solutions.” Organised by the college’s Fashion Makeover Department, the workshop was specially designed for students who recently appeared for their Class 12 examinations. It aimed to equip them with practical self-care knowledge, blending external grooming with internal wellness.

The session was led by Ms. Meenal Sandhu, a professional from the Fashion Makeover Department, who shared in-depth knowledge about maintaining healthy skin and hair. Emphasising a holistic approach to beauty, Ms. Sandhu encouraged students to adopt practices that promote both internal well-being and outward appearance. She underlined the importance of balanced nutrition, physical fitness, sufficient sleep, and stress management in enhancing one’s overall persona.

A key focus of the workshop was helping students understand their skin and hair types so they can choose the right cosmetic products. Ms. Sandhu explained the CTMP routine—Cleansing, Toning, Moisturising, and Protection—as a foundation for daily skincare. She also stressed the need for rotating hair care products periodically to maintain healthy locks and avoid dependency on a single formulation.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and showing great enthusiasm in learning self-care techniques. The practical demonstrations and personal consultations added to the workshop’s effectiveness, allowing students to gain hands-on insights into everyday beauty and grooming practices.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra, while addressing the participants, emphasized the growing significance of personal grooming and professionalism in today’s competitive environment. “Such initiatives not only help students feel more confident in their appearance but also help them understand the connection between inner health and outer beauty,” she noted. Dr. Dhingra highlighted that the fashion and beauty industry offers diverse career opportunities, and sessions like these can uncover hidden talents and ignite entrepreneurial ambitions.

She also appreciated the efforts of the Fashion Makeover Department for organising a workshop that aligns with the college’s vision of empowering students through creative and practical skill-building opportunities.

In conclusion, the event served as more than just a beauty tutorial; it was a confidence-boosting, knowledge-enriching session that encouraged students to take charge of their self-care and professional grooming. By blending education with wellness, Apeejay College of Fine Arts once again reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals ready to face the future with confidence and creativity.
