Students learn golden values from grandparents at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri

The school hosts a heartwarming celebration, honouring the special bond between students and their grandparents

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated Grandparents’ Day with great enthusiasm on 18th October 2024. The event aimed to honour and strengthen the bond between students and their grandparents. It started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising wisdom and knowledge, followed by a warm welcome from the principal, Dr. Vineet Vasishtha, who expressed his gratitude to the grandparents for gracing the occasion with their presence. Reflecting on the significance of the day, he said, “Grandparents play an irreplaceable role in shaping a child’s values and outlook. Their wisdom, patience, and unconditional love provide the foundation for a child’s growth.”

The highlight of the celebration was the captivating performances by students from Nursery to Class 2. The children recited heartfelt poems and performed colourful dances, filling the hearts of their grandparents with joy and pride. Their innocence and affection created a warm and loving atmosphere, with grandparents beaming with smiles throughout the event.

In addition to the performances, the school organised fun-filled activities for the grandparents, including a lively ramp walk. The grandparents actively participated, showcasing their enthusiasm and playfulness. Their laughter echoed across the school grounds, adding to the lighthearted spirit of the event. Some grandparents also shared their thoughts, expressing the deep bond they share with their grandchildren. Dr. Vasishtha, impressed by the vibrant connection, noted, “This celebration is not just an expression of gratitude but a reminder of the significant impact they have on our young ones. I feel privileged to witness this beautiful bond today.”

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Vasishtha, who expressed his appreciation to the grandparents for attending the celebration and emphasised, “I thank all the grandparents for their invaluable contribution to the lives of our students.” The day was filled with love, joy, and lasting memories, leaving everyone with a sense of togetherness and warmth.
