The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Wing of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar recently conducted an enrollment drive for students from various programmes including B.Tech, MBA, BCA, MCA, BCom(H), and BBA. The event was led by Commanding Officer Mr. Vinod Joshi, Subedar Kuldip Singh, and other officials from the 2-PB BN NCC, Jalandhar.
During this enrollment drive, the experts emphasised on the benefits of joining NCC, explaining how cadets gain a competitive edge in personal and professional development.
Further, students underwent physical tests, followed by a written exam to assess their general knowledge. Out of the participants, 13 students successfully enrolled in NCC. Mr. Rohit Verma, Assistant Professor from the School of Information Technology, supported and accompanied the students throughout the enrollment process.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, congratulated the students and encouraged them to serve the nation by being a part of the NCC wing. He highlighted how the values instilled through NCC, such as leadership, discipline, and teamwork, play a crucial role in both personal growth and future career prospects.
The NCC programme is known for shaping well-rounded individuals, offering them various opportunities to develop both physically and mentally. By participating in NCC, students not only serve the country but also gain practical knowledge, valuable life skills, and networking opportunities that give them an edge over their peers.
