Student Achiever: ‘The amalgamation of tech and music keeps me on my toes’
This tech geek from Apeejay School, Noida has upscaled his cerebral skills through the CODE competition
He is a software and a music aficionado and handles both with similar panache. Meet Tharun Krishna, a class XII student at Apeejay School, Noida. In a candid interview, he shares how his goals are positively reinforced at school.

Tell us about your recent achievements in the CODE competition.
I’ve been competing in tech-based events where competitors are evaluated on their ability to solve problems on the spot using technical knowledge and rapid thinking. I was particularly good at addressing problems logically and making snap decisions when time was of the essence. My passion for technology and my capacity for composure under stress were the major factors in my achievement. This experience sharpened my analytical and quick-thinking abilities, which I believe are critical for addressing real-world technological difficulties, in addition to giving me more confidence.
How was your experience?
My time in school has been greatly rewarding. The supportive classroom environment, which included mentors with knowledge and access to state-of-the-art computer labs, had a big impact on my interest in technology. The CODE Computer Club at our school provided a space for competition, exploration, and creativity in a variety of tech-related activities. The teachers’ encouragement of practical learning and critical thinking enhanced my capacity for problem-solving and decision-making. Along with encouraging me to follow my passion for singing, the school signed me up for several music contests. The school’s emphasis on creativity and hands-on education has had a big impact on my goals.
What is your ambition?
My goal is to continue my education in Computer Science with a focus on software development and 3D design. In addition, as music plays a significant role in my life, I want to continue singing. I can maintain my creativity and achieve academic success by striking a balance between both fields. This dual emphasis, in my opinion, will enable me to continue to develop in the digital industry while preserving my ties to the arts.
Which are your favourite subjects and why?
English and Computer Science are my favourite subjects. English enables me to communicate creatively and comprehend different viewpoints, while computer science interests me with its limitless potential for creativity and problem-solving. Together, they foster my love of storytelling and my desire to succeed in technology, two things that are essential to my development both academically and personally.
How did Apeejay School support your journey?
My development has been influenced by Apeejay School, which offers a supportive atmosphere that encourages academic and creative pursuits. Because of the school’s emphasis on a holistic education, I was able to pursue my love of music and flourish in Computer Science. I was motivated by the school to develop my abilities and hone my skills. I was inspired to pursue excellence by the teachers’ advice and the supportive environment.
How is technology important today?
Technology plays a significant role in today’s world because it drives innovation and improves efficiency. It has transformed education for me as class XII student by giving me access to a wealth of materials, online courses, and learning-enhancing technologies. Additionally, technology gives us the abilities we’ll need for future employment in the expanding digital world. In addition to influencing how we learn, technology also prepares us to make valuable contributions to society.
