Student Achiever: ‘Our hindsight-foresight abilities aligned potentially with writing’

These two brothers epitomise the phrase – six of one, half a dozen of others. Meet Lojasav Goyal and Kunj Goyal, studying in class VI and V respectively at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. In a candid interview, the siblings share their inspiration and inception into the world of words.

 Tell us about the books that you have written so far.

Lojasav: I have written three books so far. My first book title is ‘Mohan And His Life Adventure.’ My second book is ‘Sonu And His Magic Life’ and the third is ‘The Story Of Halloween’.

Kunj: I have written one book thus far titled ‘Sabhi and Her Kitten Pushy’. It is a story of a cat, her kitten and a lion who gave them milk.

 Who is your inspiration behind writing?

Lojasav: I am inspired by my class teacher and my parents.

Kunj: I am inspired by my class teacher and Lojasav.

Who is your favourite author and why?

Lojasav and Kunj: Our favourite author is JK Rowling. She is a famous author who has written the Harry Potter series. After reading her books I was inspired and I began writing.

Would you like to take up writing professionally?

Lojasav and Kunj: Yes, we would like to become authors. We would like to first thank our teacher, parents and the school for giving us this opportunity and helping us explore our writing talent.

What’s the most challenging part about writing?

Lojasav and Kunj: The most challenging part about writing is deciding the theme and title. Once you have decided on the theme you can write the story ahead easily.

How did Apeejay help you in exploring your writing talent?

Lojasav and Kunj: With the help of Apeejay School we got the chance to write and publish our books under the platform named Bribooks. The school guided us on how to write and taught us how to publish those books. We are thankful to this school.

How has writing changed your life personally?

Lojasav and Kunj: Writing helped to enrich the vocabulary, learn new words, and also develop reading and writing skills. This has helped to increase our imagination and thinking abilities.
